A Night Under the Stars

Description

With many of our Harvest Road family located around the state with numerous hours on the road between sites, it’s hard not to miss the many painted blue trees, opening the conversation of mental health in regional communities. The Blue Tree Project, in conjunction with A Night Under the Stars, hold a yearly event. Harvest Road Group were proud sponsors of the event where we are provided an Akoya & Rock Oyster Bar and Harvey Beef brisket to the 700 attendees. The event is a cocktail gala, seeking to unite WA Communities to support regional mental health and to help bridge the gap and raise funds in rural WA for important projects which contribute to support mental health and wellbeing in regional areas.

Description

Harvest Road Group were proud to be part of this year’s Albany Agriculture Show. The team were providing samples of some of our amazing products and talking all things Leeuwin Coast and Harvey Beef.

It was great to meet so many people from the Great Southern community and the Albany Agricultural Society. The Albany Show is an important component in providing education about our brands and career opportunities within the industry.

Description

The Perth Royal Show is a great community and cultural event that Harvest Road continues to show their support in. With daily cooking demonstrations showcasing some of our wonderful products within the Taste WA pavilion to the Harvey Beef cattle lane walk which is a great way to show our support to local producers who show their cattle in daily competitions, and our continued support to Black Dog Ride within the cattle auctions. The initiative supports a wonderful case supporting mental health and raise awareness for depression within local communities.

STEM Career Expo – Albany

Description

Some of the team from Harvest Road Group met with students from year’s 8-10 from schools across the southwest. It was a great opportunity to promote the different skills and jobs available within region and engage with students about the many diverse career paths in the science and agricultural fields. Also, a great opportunity to talk more about what Harvest Road does and the diverse range of job skills we employ.

WA Youth Cattle Camp

Description

The WA Youth Cattle Camp is a 3-day event, providing members of our WA Youth community an opportunity to learn how to safely handle, manage and exhibit cattle.
Every participant gets the opportunity to engage with leading industry professionals, build confidence within themselves, gain life skills including public speaking and problem solving, and most importantly, create friendships that can last a lifetime.

Harvest Road Group are proud to support such a wonderful event which helps train and guide the youth of WA in the cattle industry.

Gate 2 Plate Schools Challenge and Field Day

Description

Harvey Beef Gate 2 Plate Schools Challenge and field day is held yearly at Willyung Farms in Albany. This event is an interschool competition run alongside the Harvey Beef Gate 2 Plate Challenge. The day is aimed at year 11 and 12 students, with teams of eight entering from each school or college and aims at providing them with an overview of the industry, shaping the next generation of the agriculture industry.
